I’m on a journey to find out how to express and create myself. Constantly being in the loupe from happy snapshot clicker and random collector, pixel peeper and lomographer (both analogue and digital) to actually be and feel the moment.
Taking and not taking the time, searching and not searching for a true emotion or relation of subjects to capture.
I prefer to capture candid moments in a simple and lomography snapshot style of shooting (from the hip and low angles), not posed, not arranged and not directed. I am very attracted to urban, street and documentary photography.
I love analogue, digital and smartphone photography mainly in black and white with high contrast and with minimal post processing. I don’t want to limit myself and try to embrace all techniques, new and old. As long as I can create! Doing this for myself, trying not to get led for social recognition.
Making photos and also urban sketching teaches me to really look, connect and appreciate everything around us. It is just pure magic to capture moments and to be able to watch (and relive) them over and over again, it is almost time travelling.
Since January 2022, after 20 years of market research, I have made the drastic decision to quit my day job to become a full-time street photographer (and stay at home house dad).
I have started this website mainly to keep me motivated and dedicated to go out and shoot! And because we all learn from each other I decided just to share this online. Maybe there is something interesting for you here too.
Next to photography I just love to create stuff – sketching, popup books, cooking and webdesign.
