State of Amsterdam
When my kids are at school, I'm outside walking and biking around.
That is why most of my snapshots are shot between 08:30 and 15:00 on workdays.
I cycle and walk throughout the city, but most of my walks are just in my own neighbourhood in "Oost".
I have been doing this since 2023, but since early 2026 I have started completely over and deleted almost all snapshots up to that point.
Every day, I make a selection of snapshots I made that day and add them in chronological order to a weekly document (google slides). At the end of the week, I print the document double-sided on plain A4 paper in low quality, putting 2 staples in it, and maybe add some handwritten notes and coffee stains. Now I'm done for the week.
Each Monday I start again with a new fresh clean document.
This way I document my daily State of Amsterdam.
No goal or project, just capturing what catches my eye. Purely based on intuition and always in motion.
