I need a place to escape from today.
And I'm just curious how the camera sees it.
// wabi sabi :: mo no aware :: ma :: shoshin
imperfections :: fleeting (passing) :: space (silence) :: beginner's mind (curiosity)
// are - bure - boke
rough (grainy) - blurry (motion blur) - out of focus (smudged)
Making snapshots best suits how I want to capture my memories.
Memories are not razor-sharp and cannot be edited. Therefore to get as close as possible to a real memory with a camera, I simplified the process by only creating small, high-contrast, black-and-white JPGs. And to leave the camera settings always on zone focus 2 meters, F8/F11, ISO min 400 and SS min 1/320, metering on multi-segment. No need for adjustments in post.
I print these photos on cheap copy paper, that's it.
For some photography fun I like to shoot film (35 and 120 with plastic (toy) camera's), but it is primarily the process of developing and the surprise that I enjoy.

// snapshots :: intuition, effortless and frictionless
// remove distraction
// don't overthink and don't think about it too seriously
// don't be stuck :: everyday is carte blanche
// simplify
// independent, stay in control and own your content :: principles of IndieWeb are essential for honest authenticity in your art online!
// embrace imperfection
// enjoy the pleasure of being out there - the doing is the reward
// it's not a competition
// detach from validation -> don't shoot for others or social media, and not for approval or confirmation
// external validation never satisfies
Don't be stuck in your old stuff, make something new every day.
Stop making F * boring photos.
RUN BOY RUN :: don't slow down, speed up
// create -> select --> print -> publish -> and again!!
// the full archive in chronological order is my art
// STICK TO THE PLAN to keep on daily snapping -> consistency
// have fun -> feel good
